However, most of this cholesterol is in the yolk of an egg, and the white part of the egg is mostly protein. That is why dietitians recommend a maximum weekly yolk intake of 2 to 6 yolks, and the white part is not included in these recommendations, and it can be consumed as per protein requirement of the body that differs from person to person.
